Community Development
The Angidi Veeriah Chettiar Fund for Community Development, established in July 2011, serves as a cornerstone of our efforts to uplift vulnerable communities and respond to humanitarian needs:
- Monthly provision of basic food supplies to vulnerable families across the Island, with a history of supporting up to 51 families.
- Ad hoc assistance to victims of calamities such as fire, cyclone, and flood.
- Financial aid for individuals, especially children, undergoing surgical operations abroad.
Funded through corporate CSR donations and private contributions, this initiative reflects our commitment to community welfare and crisis response.
Education Empowerment
The Amoordalingum Pyneeandee Education Fund embodies our dedication to promoting education as a catalyst for individual and societal advancement:
- Offering private tuition classes for primary and secondary levels since the early sixties.
- Providing annual scholarships to secondary school students from underprivileged families based on academic merit and financial need.
- Supporting tertiary education through scholarships and financial assistance for registration fees and educational materials.
By facilitating access to quality education, we aim to empower students and contribute to long-term community development.
